What Does TMJ Feel Like?

TMJ has become a very common problem, affecting between 5% and 12% of all Americans.

Its symptoms include:

  • Headache

  • Jaw Pain

  • Ear pain

  • Popping, clicking when opening or closing jaw

  • Being poorly rested

  • Bruxism

Often, these symptoms can be mistaken for a migraine or ear infection.

If you experience these symptoms, please give us a call.

Not sure if you have TMJ? Here’s a simple test to check:

  • While opening your jaw slightly, place a finger over the joint in front of your ear

  • Open wide until you can feel the joint move.

  • If you feel the joint click or if it's tender when you press, you may have a jaw joint disorder.
